Site Reliability Engineer – Kubernetes

Lastel has partnered with a rapidly growing cyber security company based in Galway, who is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure to join their expanding team.

In this role, you will manage microservice-based Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms. Ideal candidates will have strong knowledge of cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, and distributed databases.

You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of their SaaS platform by implementing best practices in infrastructure automation, monitoring, and incident response.

Responsibilities:
Designing and implementing scalable infrastructure solutions for microservice-based SaaS platforms using Kubernetes, AWS, and Terraform.
Automating deployment, configuration, and management of services and applications using infrastructure as code principles.
Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable software delivery.
Implementing monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure proactive resolution of issues.
Participating in incident response and post-incident analysis to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
Participating in on-call rotations for the SaaS product.

Requirements:
Experience in managing microservice-based SaaS platforms.
Proficiency in Kubernetes for container orchestration and management.
Strong knowledge of AWS or other cloud services such as EC2, S3, EKS, and IAM.
Experience in infrastructure as code principles and Terraform for managing cloud resources.
Experience with GitOps practices and ArgoCD.
Experience with distributed databases.
