Senior QA Automation Engineer

Job Title: Senior QA Automation engineer
Location: Limerick-This role offers both full time remote and hybrid work

Lastel has partnered with a global SaaS company who are looking for a Senior Quality Automation Engineer to join their expanding team based in Limerick.

In this role, you will become a part of a Research and Development team and will be working on testing tools and initiatives that are designed within the Quality Group and utilised by QAs across the globe.

Your role will be focused on composition of new and exciting automation and technology approaches and working towards maximising the potential of quality processes within Research and Development. You will be leading one of the five R&D foundation QA teams in designing QA Test procedures.

What you will be doing:
•You will be responsible for guiding the QA team to undertake the tasks like executing, maintaining and developing automation scripts in Selenium , Test Complete and JMeter
•Arranging review calls with the QA team to review weekly/monthly sync up
•Collaborate with software developers, product designers, solution architect and Project Manager to determine the quality assurance parameters
•Lead the QA team in designing QA Test procedures
•Detect and clearly communicate potential project issues
•Develop test coverage documentation, test execution plans, and metrics reports
•Implement testing procedures and managing the QA process
•Troubleshooting quality issues and modify test procedures

What you need:
•3+ years of experience in a software quality role
•Experience in test automation using tools such as Selenium or JMeter
•Experience of working with Python or similar scripting language in a test automation context
•Strong understanding of Software development lifecycle and proficiency in testing methodologies, including automation, functional, integration and system testing
•Strong communication -you will be working closely with Quality Group colleagues, as well as QAs, developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure a clear understanding of deliverables
•Knowledge of Agile frameworks such as Kanban and Scrum
•Strong desire to learn new technologies and systems
Nice to have skills:
•API testing
•Experience of working with Agile tools like Jira and confluence
•Experience of working with a test management tool
