Product Owner | Hybrid | Limerick

Lastel have partnered with a leading U.S. financial services organisation based in Limerick who is looking for a Product Owner to join their team. Our client operates in the regulatory technology and governance space and they need someone who can balance two things at once: stewarding a legacy platform while helping shape what comes next.This is an opportunity to play a central role in a full platform rebuild while working in a close knit team where your input directly shapes the product roadmap. There is real scope to grow with the product as the new platform scales.

This is a hybrid position with 3 days per week in the Limerick office required.

What you will be doing:
Working directly with business owners and clients to understand their workflows, pain points and regulatory requirements
Leading discovery and requirements gathering for a platform rebuild, challenging stakeholders to articulate the why behind their requests rather than accepting prescribed solutions
Partnering with the Technical Product Owner to translate business insights into well structured user stories and acceptance criteria
Owning the Kanban workflow for ongoing maintenance of the legacy decision support platform alongside a dedicated engineer
Prioritising bug fixes, feature requests and operational improvements to keep the legacy platform running smoothly for clients
Managing third party integrations and handling client support escalations related to data delivery
Balancing competing client needs and making clear, reasoned trade off recommendations

Who you will work with:You will be part of a small, senior product and engineering team. This is not a cog in a machine role. You will have direct access to business stakeholders and clients, and your recommendations will carry real weight in shaping what gets built and when.

What you need to have:
5+ years of experience in financial services, governance, regulatory technology or a related domain
1 to 2 years of product management or product ownership experience, ideally within a technical team environment
Demonstrated ability to translate stakeholder requests into well structured requirements without defaulting to prescribed solutions
Experience managing legacy systems and new platform development in parallel
Comfort with Kanban and agile workflows with the ability to manage work in progress effectively for small, high velocity teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex business logic into clear narratives

Bonus skills:
Experience with third party platform integrations in financial services or regulatory technology
Familiarity with product experience principles and the ability to bring a user centred lens to requirements and feature definition
