Job Title: Software Engineer

Lastel has partnered with a leading ERP software company based in Limerick, Ireland, who are currently expanding their R&D team and looking for a Software Engineer-Remote- Flexible work location across Ireland.

Our client provides global manufacturing companies with Enterprise Applications, an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system that supports operational requirements, including financials, manufacturing, demand and supply chain planning, customer management, business intelligence and business process management.

As an engineer, you will be working with teams based both in Ireland/USA, and will be responsible for developing Next Generation Product Deployment and management tools.

What you need:

•Software development experience
•Experience of working with at least one or more of following programming languages: Python, Java, C#
•Knowledge of full software development life-cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes and testing
•Strong communication skills
•Desire to learn new technologies and systems
•Knowledge of computer science fundamentals in object-oriented design

Nice to have skills:
• Java development experience and/or experience with Object Oriented design
• Experience with Python, and build tools such as ANT or Maven
• Knowledge of CI/CD principles
• Unix/Linux operating systems
• Experience with Progress Open Edge
• Understanding of database concepts and operations
• Experience of working in an Agile or Scrum team
• Experience with environment configuration management and deployment tools such as Kubernetes, Jenkins & Terraform, Docker, Chef, Puppet, and virtualization
