Senior Software Engineer- JavaScript

Lastel have partnered with a global software company based in Limerick, Ireland, who are currently expanding their R&D team and looking for a Senior Software Engineer.

Our client provides global manufacturing companies with cloud-based ERP software services that supports operational requirements, including financials, manufacturing, demand and supply chain planning, customer management, business intelligence and business process management.

As an engineer, you will be building new software and enhancements on the existing software products. You will become a part of a high performing agile development team based both in Ireland/USA and work closely during the entire development lifecycle. As a Senior Engineer you will mentor junior team members and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the sound development and implementation of software solutions.

What you will be doing:
• Develop, analyse and maintain software applications and tools.
• Development of test plans, design specifications, unit testing of source code, schema design, prototyping and documentation
• Carry out analysis to define requirements for new features and modifications
• Record technical white papers and prepare product training materials
• Provide support to early adopter customers, troubleshoot and solve escalated customer issues
• Develop technical proficiency in design, implementation and unit testing, seek to increase application knowledge

What you’ll need:
• 3+ years of experience in web-based (front end) application development/design
• Experience in JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience in Angular JS, jQuery, HTML,HTML5, CSS, CSS3, Web programming skills, Web UI, Security Principles, Object-Oriented Design, Web Services (REST/SOAP), Spring Framework
• Strong technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design and implementation
• Excellent knowledge of the software development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance
• Degree in computer science or equivalent qualification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to have skills:
• Experience with kendo libraries
• Experience with JavaScript unit testing frameworks
• Experience with Android or IOS
